Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Mike Deasy began playing the guitar and singing at a young age. By the time he was in high school in the middle 50's, Mike was playing in rock 'n' roll concerts with artists like RICKY NELSON, THE EVERLY BROTHERS, and THE COASTERS. After graduation, he toured California and then the United States with RICHIE VALENS, EDDIE COCHRAN, CHUBBY CHECKER, and DUANE EDDY.

At a band rehearsal, Mike would meet his future wife, Kathie, who came along just to hang-out with her brother, Jim Horn, the sax and flute legend. Kathie, also being a singer and musician, would find common ground with Mike, allowing them to spend much time together, eventually marrying , and having 3 children. She was involved with nightclubs and studio work as well, singing background with Mike on albums by JOHNNY RIVERS, KENNY LOGGINS, THE BYRDS, HELEN REDDY, etc., and eventually, writing and singing together, traveling the world and recording their music and producing other artists in their studio, Saltmine Recording.

In the middle and late 60's and early 70's, Mike became one of the top studio guitarists in Los Angeles, working with performers such as ELVIS PRESLEY, THE BEACH BOYS, MICHAEL JACKSON, KENNY ROGERS, THE MONKEES, SONNY & CHER, FRANK ZAPPA, BILLY JOEL, FRANK SINATRA and BARBRA STREISAND, to name only a few.

Mike also played on many movie soundtracks including numerous Clint Eastwood films such as "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly", "High Plains Drifter", and the "Dirty Harry" films. And Mike's guitar can even be heard on soundtracks from more recent movies like "Forest Gump" and "The Rock".

Television shows Mike played on include "The Flip Wilson Show", "The Sonny & Cher Show", "The Smothers Brothers Show", "The Partridge Family", "Get Smart" and the Saturday morning cartoon "Josie and the Pussycats". He also did many TV commercials, including Coca-Cola and Barbie Doll from Mattel Toys.

All through these life experiences, on the road and at home, he continued to write and study, eventually achieving a lifetime dream of receiving his Doctorate in Music.

Mike Deasy, one of the most recorded guitarists in the history of music, continues to present unique lyrics and melodies in song, and is a dynamic, positive and humorous speaker.

He captivates audiences of all ages, relating his past experiences and what he has learned about the powerful influence music has on the human mind.
